Falling Water Trail Marathon and Half Marathon 2026

The event takes place on the Beaver Valley section of the Bruce Trail, with start and finish at the Beaver Valley Ski Club in Eugenia, ON, Canada. Distances offered:

  • Trail Marathon (approx. 42 km)
  • Trail Half Marathon (approx. 21 km)
  • The Bruce Deuce: both races completed by the same participant

The race is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario. Entry is limited to 100 runners per distance to protect the trails; spots often sell out and no regular waitlist is maintained. Twenty dollars from each registration will be donated to the Beaver Valley Bruce Trail Club.

Most of the route follows single‑track marked with white and blue blazes, supplemented with orange flags and ribbons. The course is rocky, rooty, and very hilly: the marathon has nearly 1600 m of elevation gain and loss, the half about 1000 m of gain. Aid stations are spaced farther apart than at many other events. THN Labs provides gels in race kits and at aid stations; La Sportiva will offer a demo shoe fleet and two shoe giveaways. Trekking poles are permitted. The marathon is not a Boston qualifier.

The event is cup‑less, so runners must bring a collapsible cup or bottle for aid stations. Race swag includes a race shirt; Bruce Deuce finishers receive two medals plus an additional souvenir. Refund policy: a 100% race credit is available for cancellations made at least 30 days before the event; cancellations within 30 days are not accommodated, though bib transfers are allowed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
