About the race
The Fairview 4H Zombie Run is a fundraising, family-friendly event held on a marked 3 km trail that circles the local golf course. The course starts from the 108 Avenue and 108 Street parking lot in Fairview, AB, and participants are asked to stay on the marked trail and not cut across the golf course. The event offers two participation modes. In Survivor Mode participants wear flags and are chased by volunteers in costume who try to capture flags.
In Fun Run Mode participants run or walk the same course without being chased or scared. There is no hitting or fighting of volunteers; runners are expected to outrun or dodge the volunteers. Both groups share the same course and all finishers receive a medal: a Survivor Medal for those who reach the finish without being tagged and a Zombie Medal for those who are tagged. The run is open to all ages.
The event lists free parking and a refund policy that allows refunds up to seven days before the event. The organizer presents the run as a community fundraiser with volunteer involvement and a focus on a safe, family-oriented atmosphere. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
