Extreme North Dakota's Terrifying Run Amongst Innumerable Lost Souls (END-TRAILS)
This is a Halloween themed timed trail running event held October 24-25, 2026 at Turtle River State Park near Arvilla, North Dakota. Runners may compete solo or as part of a relay team and attempt to complete as many laps of the marked course as possible within the chosen time window. The course includes winding single track, some fast and flat double track, rolling undulations, and about 100 yards of pavement. The site requires a day pass or annual state park pass for vehicle entry.
Race formats include:
- Solo Zombie entries for 6 hour, 12 hour, or 24 hour efforts.
- Skeleton Army team entries for 12 hour or 24 hour efforts; teams may have up to four members alternating laps.
- Imp entry for a single lap of approximately 10K.
The field is capped at 100 total runners. Entry includes course access, event swag, and posted results. Scoring ranks competitors first by number of laps completed and then by the time the final lap was completed for the applicable duration. The event is part of the UMTR Timed Series. Completion of 50 miles on foot at this event combined with 100 miles in the END-TOMBED race in the same weekend qualifies for Undead Hall of Fame consideration.
