About the race
The ASICS Pierra Menta Été is a skyrunning event held over three consecutive days as a pairs race. Teams of two cover a cumulative distance of about 70 km with approximately 7000 m of positive elevation gain, split across three stages that average near 23 km and 2300 m of ascent per day.
There are several participation formats with different services and prices. The all inclusive formula is billed per team and includes race entry for two, full board lodging from Thursday evening to Sunday midday, on-course feed stations, runner gifts, the closing meal, access to physiotherapy and podiatry services and Compex massage services, and multi-risk insurance. A basic formula is offered at a lower fee and includes race entry for two, feed stations, runner gifts, the closing meal, and access to physio and podiatry services.
Two additional standalone events are listed: a solo Skyrun on the Grand Mont with about 25 km and 2500 m ascent, and a new vertical race in the village covering 3.6 km with 810 m ascent and slopes over 25 percent. The event takes place around the village of Arêches Beaufort and follows routes inspired by the local ski mountaineering race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
