About the race
EcoTrail Wicklow is a trail running event based in Bray Seafront and the Wicklow Mountains in County Wicklow, Ireland. The programme offers multiple distance options and routes that combine coastal paths, forest trails, mountain climbs, and estate tracks. All races start beside the sea and include an initial climb up Bray Head before moving into more rugged mountain terrain. The event provides marked and marshalled routes, aid stations and finish-line refreshments.
Entries include a bespoke running T-shirt and a finisher’s memento produced with a local partner. Race numbers are available for collection the day before and the morning of the event. A bag drop is available at the start and finish area with a single small waterproof bag allowed. Cut-off times are published for each distance and the courses include significant elevation in the longer races.
Parking near the promenade is limited and public transport is suggested. The organiser publishes route maps and practical information in advance and operates event headquarters near the bandstand on the Bray promenade. Distances - 10K - 19K - 30K - 46K - 80K.
