Windsor 50 Ultra Challenge
The Windsor 50 Ultra Challenge is a supported trail event on Saturday 17 April 2027 with looped routes from Windsor Racecourse. From the racecourse basecamp the routes run through Windsor Great Park, past views of the Castle, to Runnymede and along the Thames Path, taking in surrounding countryside.
Support on the route includes marquee rest stops, catering, medical and massage teams, fully signed course markings and GPS tracking via the event app, plus a timing system that logs progress at rest stops. Food and drink are provided at regular stops with a picnic at 25 km for 50 km participants and a hot meal for 50 km finishers. Finish-line items include a medal, finisher T shirt and a glass of fizz. Event facilities note parking, shuttle transfers, a bar, and camping at basecamp.
There are entry categories and optional formats: Solo Challenger start, an Ultra March category for timed walkers, and Ultra Trailblazerz for ambitious runners. Rest stops are approximately every 12.5 km with larger facilities approximately every 25 km.
