DoringDraad 2026
DoringDraad 2026 takes place on Saturday 3 October 2026 at Doringdraad Kontrei-Kuierplek Deben in Deben, Northern Cape. The event combines mountain biking and trail running and this edition is the eighth consecutive staging.
Distances offered include:
- 5 km run
- 10 km run
- 25 km MTB
- 50 km MTB
Online entries close on Wednesday 30 September 2026. Late entries are available at number collection and on the morning of the event. Goodie bag and race number collection is scheduled for Friday 2 October at the reception of Kalahari Country Club in Kathu and on Saturday 3 October at Doringdraad Kontrei-Kuierplek Deben; participants are encouraged to collect on Friday to reduce Saturday queues.
Food and beverages will be available at the DoringDraad Restaurant. Doringdraad Roosterkoeke will be sold at the event.
Prizes and medals are awarded, and participants must be able to complete their chosen distance without assistance to qualify for a medal or a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place prize. The event lists a typical age range starting from 12 years. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
