About the race
The Dolomiti Extreme Trail (DXT) is a multi-distance trail running event in Val di Zoldo, with the village of Forno hosting the DXT Village, services, start and finish areas. The 2027 edition takes place from 11 to 13 June 2027 and includes seven races.
Distances:
- DXT 103K - 102 km, ±6500 m elevation gain
- DXT 72K - 76 km, ±4800 m elevation gain
- DXT 55K - 58 km, ±3600 m elevation gain
- DXT 35K - 38 km, ±2470 m elevation gain
- DXT 22K - 21 km, ±1140 m elevation gain
- DXT 11K - 13 km, ±670 m elevation gain
- Mini DXT - 2.5 km, ±200 m elevation gain
Five distances (103K, 72K, 55K, 35K and 22K) are UTMB Mont-Blanc qualifiers and the races participate in the ITRA National League and the Europe Trail Cup. The Europe Trail Cup assigns cash prizes to the first three men and women in two categories: TRAIL (22K, 35K, 55K) and ULTRA (72K, 103K).
The routes cross forests, rocky formations, scree fields and small streams and pass by Dolomite peaks listed as UNESCO World Heritage. Event services include an expo area, pasta and pizza catering, bib distribution and material checks, bag deposit, baby sitting and shuttle service from parking areas. The organisation involves a large team of volunteers and maintains an Ecotrail approach. A finisher prize for 2027 will be announced by the organisers.
