About the race
The Dimboola Dash Running Festival takes place on Sunday 11th April 2027 on trails alongside the Wimmera River, with start and finish located in the town of Dimboola. The event uses a 7 km stretch of newly constructed trails and established walking tracks between Dimboola and the Lochiel Rest Area at the edge of the Western Highway. The marathon is conducted as three out-and-back laps on this route, with appropriate turn-around points used for the shorter distances.

All participants receive a medal. The course includes multiple drink stops and is supported by volunteers provided by the Lions Club of Dimboola and the Dimboola Progress Association. Entry fees are described as modest, and an event shirt designed by Imigo Dawn is available for purchase. Local organisations listed as supporters include Hindmarsh Shire, the Wimmera River Discovery Trail, The Athlete's Foot, and the Dimboola Imaginarium.
