Desafío en las Nubes

About the race

Desafío en las Nubes is a mountain race held in Xicotepec, Puebla, Mexico, in February. The event runs across multiple days and offers several distances that use technical mountain trails and varied terrain.

Distances include:

• 48K Ultra DEN with 3,150 m of accumulated climb, very technical terrain.
• 34K Medio DEN with 2,500 m of accumulated climb, routes through coffee plantations, ginger fields and near waterfalls.
• 26K Mini DEN with 1,900 m of accumulated climb, a shorter mountain distance for experienced trail runners.
• 11K Micro DEN with 830 m of accumulated climb, short route with steep climbs and fast descents.
• 5K DENsotes with 280 m of accumulated climb, mixed pavement and trail suitable for walkers or runners.
• 2.5K DENcitos with 130 m of accumulated climb, a free integration race for children aged 7 to 14.

The program spans weekend dates in February and includes adult and youth events. The route descriptions note steep climbs, technical singletrack sections, and natural scenery around Xicotepec.
