Canadian Death Race : 27th Annual
The Canadian Death Race takes place in Grande Cache, Alberta (10450 Hoppe Ave). The event offers multiple race formats: 120k Ultra, 50k Ultra (new for 2027), a relay, and a kids race.
The full course begins and ends on a 1,300 m plateau, crosses three mountain summits, includes over 5,000 m of cumulative elevation change, and features a river crossing at Hell's Gate canyon at the confluence of the Smoky and Sulphur Rivers. Organizers state there will be course changes for 2027, including changing the Near Death Marathon to a 50k distance.
