Dark Divide Trail Races - Randle, WA
The Dark Divide Trail Races are scheduled for September 3 to 5, 2027, with race headquarters at the Cispus Learning Center near Randle, Washington. Distance options listed for the event include:

- 15 Miler
Races follow steep, technical trails through the Dark Divide Roadless Area within the Gifford-Pinchot National Forest. The course is remote and requires sustained off-trail endurance and technical trail running skills. The 100 Miler uses multiple aid stations and permits pacers beginning at Wright Meadow Aid Station (mile 51.6) with additional pacer swap locations listed at later aid stations. Pacers must check in, sign a waiver, remain with their runner, may not carry supplies for the runner except at aid stations, and must follow all course and permitting rules.
The Cispus Learning Center provides bunkhouses, showers, a kitchen, and parking. Nearby car, tent, and RV camping is available. Registration opens November 1, 2026.
The 100 Miler is a qualifier for The Hardrock 100 Endurance Run and The Western States Endurance Run. The race offers cash prizes including $2,000 for the first female sub-24 hour finish, $2,000 for the first male sub-20 hour finish, $2,000 for the first non-binary sub-20 hour finish, and $10,000 for the first finisher of five consecutive Dark Divide 100 Milers.
The Dark Divide 100 Miler has formal qualification standards. Entrants must provide verifiable race results meeting one of the stated standards or submit GPX and supporting documentation for discretionary review. There is a volunteer service requirement of eight hours documented and submitted by race check-in; acceptable activities include habitat restoration, trail work, and volunteer work that supports inclusivity and access.
