Da Deer Run Run
Da Deer Run Run takes place on 12/05/2026 at Timber Pointe Nature Center at Lake Bloomington, 20 Timber Pointe Lane, Hudson, IL 61748. The event includes multiple trail formats on a course made of paved trail, wide double track and short single track sections. Partial proceeds benefit Timber Pointe Nature Center. Post-race food and beverage are hosted inside Stern lodge near the start and finish area.
Registration opens in February 2026 and closes on the event date. Registration fees listed for the event entries are $25 for the 8K, $15 for the 4K, and $30 for the 3 Hours plus the 8K. Those who register for the event receive a Lake Run Club membership or a membership renewal through the following year. Sweatshirts are included with 8K and 3 Hour registrations for participants who register before the cutoff date of 11/20/2026; a very limited number of extra sweatshirts will be printed.
The event is run in a cross country style and is planned to proceed in all weather conditions including snow, rain, or mud. Wildlife such as deer, wild turkey and possible bald eagles may be seen along the course. Timing is chip based by itsracetime.com and results are posted on the day of the event.

- 8K: Two 4K loops; 50/50 paved trail, double track, and short single track.
- 4K: One lap of the 8K course, suitable for first time trail or youth XC runners.
- 3 Hours plus the 8K: Participants run laps before the 8K; winners by most laps and fastest 8K time.
