About the race
The Columbia Csákvár ECO Trail is a trail running event on the southern slopes of the Vértes near Csákvár, Hungary, held on 2026-10-18. The event emphasizes a low ecological footprint and a simple race format focused on running in an autumn forest setting. The race base is at the football field in Csákvár (Vöröskapu u. 14), GPS N47 23.991 E18 28.063.
Distances and elevation:
- Half marathon: 21.05 km, 468 m ascent.
- 13k Up&Down: 12.8 km, 302 m ascent.
- 5k: 5 km, 43 m ascent.
Route details: the half marathon has mostly runnable, easy trail terrain, one refreshment station at about 14 km and another at the finish; the last three kilometers are on asphalt. The 13k is an out-and-back on easy terrain with about 1 km of steeper trail and a refreshment at the turnaround and finish. The 5k is an easy out-and-back with refreshment only at the finish. GPX routes are provided for compatible devices.
Race services include chip timing, visible front bib requirement, unique wooden finisher medals for each distance, top-three medals per gender, ITRA and UTMB points, medical staff, changing rooms, bag drop, showers, and a covered race center. Disposable plastic cups are not provided; participants should carry a reusable bottle or cup. Mandatory equipment: a working mobile phone with the registered number and an ID or copy. Entries open 2026-01-01 20:00 and are limited per distance; no on-site registration. Payments are by bank card via OTP SimplePay. Entry fee refunds are not issued but the paid fee can be used for any trailrun.hu race within 365 days. Course marking and marshals enforce route following; certain behavior or rules violations lead to disqualification. Noise-cancelling earphones that block external sounds are prohibited.
