Crow Hill Reverse Fell Race

The Crow Hill Reverse Fell Race is a mid-summer out and back fell event around the Calder Valley. The route includes several short, sharp climbs onto the moors, a runnable section across to Crow Hill and a return with a slight diversion through Redacre Woods.

The race is scheduled for Tuesday 4 August 2026 and is held at the Dusty Miller, Mytholmroyd, HX7 5LH. Entry is on the day only and the cost is £5. The course is approximately 5 miles with about 305 m of ascent. The event is a BM category race under FRA rules. The course is fully flagged and GPS is allowed.

The race is part of Todmorden Harriers’ New Summer Series, which also includes Blackstone Edge, That’s so Hebden Bridge and Stoodley Pike. There will be no junior races. Course records stand at male 28:18 (2025) and female 36:08 (2015).

Competitors are advised to carry a waterproof jacket, hat, gloves and a whistle; there may be a kit check and full FRA kit could be required depending on the weather. Parking is limited at the Dusty Miller, Mytholmroyd Community Centre and surrounding streets; public transport and car sharing are recommended. Prizes are awarded across position, age categories and team rankings. All proceeds will be donated to Calder Valley Search & Rescue Team.
