Crossroads Trail Run
The 18th Annual Crossroads Trail Run takes place at Crossroads at Big Creek Nature Preserve in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin on June 12, 2027. The event offers multiple trail distances on natural-surface courses and uses chip timing with staggered starts by distance. An awards ceremony follows the race.
Distances include:
- 2K (1.24 Miles)
- 5K (3.1 Miles)
- 10K (6.2 Miles)
Packet pick-up is available at the Collins Learning Center on June 9 and June 10 with daytime hours, on June 11 with extended hours, and on the morning of the race. Registration opens January 1, 2027. The registration fee is $30 per entry. To reserve a race t shirt, registration should be completed by May 19, 2027; participants who register after that date may select from previous year shirts.
Course services and rules are specified: two water stations are located on the 5K route and three on the 10K route. Bikes, shoes with spikes, and dogs are not allowed on the course during the race. Dogs are allowed on the property when leashed. All participants receive a native tree and post race snacks including bananas, granola bars, and a cherry sundae. Local prizes for top finishers include pottery, maple syrup, honey, and soaps. Net proceeds support Crossroads at Big Creek and its environmental education and stewardship mission.
