About the race
The Crimson Lake Trail Run is an annual non profit trail event held at Crimson Lake near Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. The event is traditionally scheduled for the third Saturday of August and the 2026 edition is set for August 15, 2026. It supports active use and appreciation of natural spaces, and funds raised are directed to maintenance and development of the Crimson Lake trail system.
Race formats and fees include:
- 3 km family event with age based fees $10 or $15.
- 10 km trail event fee $30.
- 20 km trail event fee $40.
Online registration is open and closes on August 14, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time. Same day registration is accepted with cash only and organizers cannot guarantee a T shirt for late registrants. Online payment is available and a small processing fee applies.
