Coyote Ultra - Backyard Ultra
Coyote Ultra is a Backyard Ultra ultramarathon held in Saint-Lazare, Quebec. The format requires runners to complete repeated loops of 6.706 kilometres (4.167 miles), each within 60 minutes; a runner who does not finish a loop in time or misses the next start is eliminated.
The event awards a 2000 $ bursary to each of the final winners. Buckles are awarded based on the number of completed laps: bronze after 8 laps, silver after 16 laps, gold after 24 laps, and a black buckle for the two final winners.
The venue is at 4115 Chemin Sainte Angélique, Saint-Lazare, QC J7T 2N5, Canada. Camping space is available on site with access for campers before race day. Toilets are provided at the start area and at a mid-course location.
Key rules include being present in the start zone before the start signal or facing elimination; no personal assistance is permitted on the course outside the transition area; eliminated runners must leave the start zone and may not rejoin the race.
Recommended gear includes a headlamp (required when light is low), running belt or vest, personal water bottle or flask, nutrition and medication, weather-appropriate clothing, and camping equipment.
