About the race
RAISE Your Hearts presents the Costumed Creature Crawl 5K Trail Run/Walk on October 31, 2026, at the Van Scott Nature Reserve of the Delaware Highlands Conservancy in Beach Lake, PA. The event supports Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month and offers both in person and virtual participation.
Distances and entry types:
- 3.1 miles - Adult in person and virtual
- 3.1 miles - Ages 6 to 15 in person and virtual
- Flexible distance - Crawlers ages 0 to 5, free entry
In-person registration fees are listed for adults, youth, and crawlers; virtual options have separate fees. In-person registration includes event entry, a T-shirt, and a medal for the first 50 in-person registrants, plus light refreshments and access to community activities after the event. Virtual participants may upload photos or videos, submit times, and complete virtual challenges; apparel and medals are reserved for in-person participants.
Along the 5K route there will be water stations and first aid; reusable water bottles are encouraged. Trails are not stroller-friendly, so participants are advised to bring baby or hiking carriers; dogs are not permitted on trails. Costumes are welcome but no scary masks or weapons are allowed to keep the event family and trail friendly.
A costume contest will award prizes in six categories: Funniest, Cutest, Most Creative, Most Adorable Duo, Best DIY Costume, and Best Group Costume. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
