Event Overview

The Corfu Mountain Trail is a multi-distance trail running event held on the island of Corfu. Organized in cooperation with the Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands, the event features several courses that traverse the island's diverse terrain, from coastal paths to mountain peaks.

Course Details

The event offers four distinct race distances, each with specific elevation profiles and time limits:

  • 103 km Ultra Trail: Featuring 4,200 m of elevation gain with a 22-hour cut-off.
  • 44 km Rain Trail: Featuring 2,200 m of elevation gain with a 10-hour cut-off.
  • 24 km Olive Tree Trail: Featuring 1,200 m of elevation gain with a 5-hour cut-off.
  • 12 km Quick Trail: Featuring 300 m of elevation gain with a 3-hour cut-off.

A free kids race is also held on the final day of the event.

The longest route begins in the village of Ypsos and ascends to Mount Pantokrator, the highest point on the island. The course passes through traditional northern villages including Spartilas, Strinilas, Sokraki, Lakones, and Paleokastritsa. Runners then follow the western coastline near the beaches of Liapades, Myrtiotissa, Glyfada, and Kontogialou, offering views of the Adriatic Sea.

All routes eventually converge and pass through historical landmarks such as the Achilleion Palace, Mouse Island (Pontikonissi), Mon Repo, and Garitsa beach. Every race concludes in the center of Corfu town at the Liston.

Logistics

The event includes an expo and bib number pick-up located in Corfu town. Bus transfers are organized from central points, such as San Rocco Square and Liston, to the various starting locations in Ipsos, Ermones, Koinopiastes, and Benitses. Participants are required to present an ID card or passport for bib collection. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
