Twin Anchors Copperhead Beer Relay 20K and Beer Mile Presented by Wicked Weed
The event takes place at the Briar Patch Hunting property north of Poplar Grove Plantation in Hampstead, North Carolina (12706 US-17). The main format uses a 5K loop that participants repeat to complete a 20K course. Relay teams must carry a baton during each leg and teams may consist of two, three, or four members.
Before each 5K lap, participants may choose a 12-ounce Wicked Weed beer or chocolate milk. The beer option is limited to participants aged 21 and older; chocolate milk is available as a nonalcohol alternative. For individual competitors the rules allow up to four beers with a maximum total time deduction of eight minutes. Relay teams may receive a two-minute deduction per 5K leg for beer consumed during their leg.
The event program also includes short events on the same day, including the Beer Mile and a Donut Mile. Beer Mile entries are offered in open and Clydesdale/Athena categories. The event includes special divisions such as a Beer Club division, a Corporate Charity team division with sponsor benefits and a portion of proceeds allocated to a winning team charity, and a bulk purchase option for team entries.
