Coastal Classic Run and Walk events : Taieri Mouth
The Coastal Classic run and walk events take place at Taieri Mouth on November 8, 2026, with routes based from Livingstonia Park. TM Events Group, in association with the Taieri Mouth Amenities Society, organises the day and directs event profits back to the local Taieri Mouth community.
Distances offered:
- 5 km Harraways Family Fun Run/Walk and Under 14 Beach Race (min age 10)
- 12 km Moturata Views Recreational Walk and Unifone Craypot Run
- 21 km Smiths Sports Shoes Akatore Challenge Run
Courses use gravel road, farm paddocks, coastal tracks, beaches and wetlands and run on a separate course to the bike events. The route includes access to privately owned farmland that is open for this event only. Participants can stop at the Seascape Cafe for a complimentary coffee or tea with a muffin.
Runners are timed and receive category and overall placings; place getters in each category are acknowledged and all participants are eligible for spot prizes. Minimum age for the 21 km event is 14; underage applications are considered with adult consent and at the committee's discretion.
Entry fees vary by event: Under 14 5 km race $5, 5 km family walk $15 per adult and $5 per child over age 5, and each of the 12 km and 21 km events $40. Early bird pricing applies until August 31; a $10 late fee applies after November 4, 2026. Calder Stewart is the naming sponsor for 2025 to 2027.
