About the race
The Coast To Kosci is a long-distance ultramarathon covering a distance of 240 km. Instigated in 2004 and organised by runners for runners, the event is framed around the values of Community, Humility and Resilience.
The route begins at Twofold Bay near Eden in southern New South Wales and finishes 240 km later at Charlotte Pass after summitting Mt Kosciuszko, Australia’s highest point. The race field is limited to about 60 runners, who are given up to 46 hours to complete the course. Entry to the race is by invitation; Race Directors announce application windows each June and use qualifying criteria and discretion to determine invitations.
The event maintains historical results and records. The overall race record of 24 hours 33 minutes was set in 2014, and the female race record of 27 hours 44 minutes was set in 2024.
