Climbing for Change
Climbing for Change is a fundraising endurance event held on September 26, 2026 at Rabbit Hill Snow Resort, 20715 - 57 Avenue SW, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Participants climb repeated laps on the ski hill to accumulate elevation over a 24 hour period.
Participants choose the total elevation they will aim to climb by selecting one of several mountain equivalents. Distances include:
- Everest - 29,029 ft equivalent elevation
- Logan - 19,551 ft equivalent elevation
- Matterhorn - 14,692 ft equivalent elevation
Entrants may participate individually or as part of a team. Teams can divide the required elevation so that each member completes a portion. Each participant is encouraged to select a registered Canadian charity from the event’s list and to raise funds for that organization.
Onsite amenities listed for the event include tenting space, washrooms, aid and electrolyte stations, first aid, and a disco DJ area. A full schedule is noted as forthcoming.
