6th Annual Christy Bilby Memorial Fun Run
The Albany Christmas Committee organizes the sixth annual Christy Bilby Memorial Fun Run on October 17, 2026 at Albany Golf Club in Albany, Indiana (1100 Golf Course Drive, Albany, IN 47320). The event is held in person and is scheduled as a community morning event.
The course is approximately 2 miles and is open to running or walking. An auction takes place before the run; attendees may purchase raffle tickets and place them in jars for the items they wish to win. Volunteers draw a winner from each jar during the race, and finishers can check whether their tickets were selected.
The event honors a beloved Albany teacher who founded the Albany Pumpkin Dash to raise funds for Christmas gifts for children in the local community. After the teacher's passing, the activity continued as this memorial fun run to support the same charitable purpose. Registration by October 3 guarantees an event T-shirt.
