Chokka Trail Run 2026 : 10 Year Anniversary
Chokka Trail Run 2026 is the tenth edition of a trail running weekend held in St Francis Bay, Eastern Cape, South Africa. The event is organised by St Francis Sport and takes place at Cape St. Francis Resort with additional route sections starting at Dune Ridge. The programme includes single-day race distances, new multiday options, a festival and community activities across the weekend of 8–9 August 2026.
The event offers multiple race formats and distances:
- 62 km Ultra one-day, start and finish at Cape St Francis Resort
- 42 km Marathon one-day, start and finish at Cape St Francis Resort
- 23 km Half Marathon one-day, start and finish at Cape St Francis Resort
- 10 km one-day, start and finish at Cape St Francis Resort
- Chokka Experience two-day: 28 km then 23 km, Dune Ridge and Cape St Francis Resort
- Chokka Experience Lite two-day: 12 km then 10 km, Dune Ridge and Cape St Francis Resort
- Kiddies races 1 km and 3 km on Saturday as part of the festival
The weekend features the Chokka Adventure Festival at Cape St Francis Resort with activities for runners and non-runners, a market, and a themed afterparty on Sunday. Local accommodation providers, restaurants and activity operators will offer special deals during the weekend, and additional activities listed for the area include boat trips, golf and padel.
