Chicago 7/11 Hour Endurance Run
The Chicago 7/11 Hour Endurance Run is a timed loop event in Wolf Road Woods within the Palos Preserves near Willow Springs, Illinois. The course is a four mile loop of singletrack and double-track through restored forest and rolling terrain, with some quick runnable sections and historic trails. The loop passes views of local ponds and the site of the world’s first nuclear reactor.
Participants choose between two timed options and complete laps on the same loop. A roadside aid station provides an assortment of foods including hot dogs, pixie sticks, honey buns, crackers, chips, water, and electrolyte drinks. The event uses professional chip timing with live lap counting and split displays.
The venue description highlights nearby features such as Maple Lake, Pulaski Woods, and Saganashkee Slough as part of the Palos Preserves experience. Awards are offered for categories in both timed options. The event information notes clear trail markings and available GPX course data for navigation.
