Chewacla Cha Cha
Chewacla Cha Cha is a trail running event on Sunday, September 13, 2026 at Chewacla State Park in Auburn, Alabama. It is part of the Southern Singletrack Trail Series and benefits Valley Rescue Mission. The course uses rolling, wooded singletrack trails with gentle elevation changes.
Race format and distances:
- 5K : One scenic loop of singletrack
- 10K : Two loops of the same course
Racing will use staggered start waves to manage the field. Awards are given to overall male and female winners for each distance. There is one on-course aid station and one at the finish line offering water, CeraSport, and individually wrapped snacks. Runners are advised to bring a personal water bottle; organizers may remove anyone showing signs of dehydration or distress.
Registration and fees are tiered: early pricing and higher fees after August 22, 2026, with specific amounts listed in event materials. Guaranteed T-shirt size requires registration by August 31, 2026. No transfers, refunds, or deferments are allowed. A separate park day use fee of $4.00 per person is payable at the gate.
