Ennerdale Horseshoe
The Ennerdale Horseshoe is a fell race in the Lake District held on Sat 5 Jun 2027 with the venue at Ennerdale scout camp. The course covers 36.8 km (22.9 miles) with a total climb of 2290 m (7513 ft) and is categorised AL. The event uses grid reference 085153 and the minimum age for participants is 18.
Entries are available both as pre entry and on the day. Pre entries are limited to 250 and can be submitted online via the organising body websites CFRA or SiEntries. Fees differ for members and non members for both pre entry and entry on the day.
Teams are permitted with scoring rules of four to count for men and three to count for ladies, the lowest cumulative points score determining team placings. The race holds a permit and is covered by associated UK Athletics insurance from the FRA.
Record times are listed for the course with a male record of 03:20:57 set in 1985 and a female record of 04:01:33 set in 2008. There are no junior races. Facilities at the scout camp include full toilets and there is no camping available at the camp before or after the event. Competitors should use the specified race parking only.
