About the race
Catch Me if You Can! is the Yellowstone Rim Runners winter race series held in Billings. The series uses a staggered, pace-based start so runners are predicted to finish at the same time; each runner starts according to their expected pace, with the fastest starters beginning last. Faster runners then try to catch those who started earlier. After each race, hot beverages are provided.
The series consists of four individual events and is free for Yellowstone Rim Runners members; membership costs are listed as $15 for an individual or $24 for a family when registering for the series. Participants earn points in each race toward a series leaderboard. Finishing positions award points (1st = 25, 2nd = 24, 3rd = 23, 4th = 22, 5th = 21, and decreasing down to 5 points). Participation, volunteering, or a first race award 5 points. The top five overall series winners receive cash prizes: $100, $75, $50, $25, and $15.
