Castle Trails 30km

The Castle Trails 30km is a point-to-point trail race covering 30 km from Little Fant Farm in East Farleigh to Tonbridge, following the River Medway and sharing the second half of the Three Castles 50 km course. The route passes East Farleigh Bridge, Teston Country Park, Wateringbury, Yalding and the Hop Farm before reaching Tonbridge and finishing with a full lap of the Tonbridge athletics track.

The event includes a fully marked course, professional chip timing with live GPS tracking, three fully stocked checkpoints, medical support, bag transfer and a finish village with showers, changing facilities and refreshments. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers. An optional pre-paid shuttle bus is available to return runners from the finish to the start.

Checkpoints are at Barming Bridge (4 km), Branbridges Leisure (14 km) and Racecourse Park (25 km). Spectators are not permitted at Checkpoint 1. There are mandatory cut-offs at Checkpoints 2 and 3, and the event enforces an official 8-hour finish cut-off; runners finishing outside the cut-off will not receive an official result or finisher's medal.

Event rules require participants to be at least 18 years old, keep race bibs visible, stay on the marked course and complete the challenge on foot. Mandatory kit includes a fully charged mobile phone with the Race Director's number saved and a minimum 500 ml fluid carrying capacity. This is a cupless event; runners may carry a reusable cup. Other recommended items include a waterproof jacket, hat or buff, sun cream, food and payment method. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
