Carolina Beach State Park Trail Half Marathon & 5K
The Carolina Beach State Park Trail Half Marathon & 5K is a trail race held in Carolina Beach, North Carolina, on Saturday, January 2, 2027. The start and finish are at American Legion Post #129, 1500 Bridge Barrier Road, Carolina Beach, NC 28428.

Both events are timed. The half marathon has a course cutoff of 3.5 hours, which corresponds to a 16 minute per mile pace. Each distance has a participant cap of 300 runners.
Registration opens August 19, 2026 and closes November 4, 2026. Posted registration fees are $65.00 for the half marathon and $33.00 for the 5K. In-person packet pickup and race day registration are digital; participants will be asked to scan a QR code. Online registration is available until the race begins and participants may register on their phones and then pick up their packet.
Finish line provisions include a finisher medal, snacks, and water supplied by Culligan. Participants aged 21 and older receive one beer at the American Legion patio. Parking is available at the nearby Food Lion; vehicles should not park behind the store or near loading docks to allow delivery access.
