Capital XC - University/Open Division
The Ottawa Lions host the 12th annual Capital XC Challenge at Mooneys Bay Park in Ottawa, Ontario on September 26th, 2026. The event is a cross country meet with separate races for men and women across multiple age divisions. Athletes compete in their respective age classes.
Open and University division athletes must be registered with their provincial sport organization or with a member institution of USport or CCAA to be eligible. U14, U12, and U10 athletes may be entered by their school coach or by a parent.
Course layouts will differ slightly from those used for the 2022 and 2023 Canadian Cross Country Championships and the 2024 OFSAA XC Championships at the same park. A technical package is provided for more event details.
Registration details listed by the organizer include a regular deadline of September 23rd, 2026 and a late deadline of September 25th, 2026. Fees mentioned include a maximum fee of CAD $300 and per-entry fees of CAD $30 and CAD $35. A small processing fee applies. Payment methods accepted include online payment and cheque. There is an entry cap of CAD $250.00 per team per gender.
