Canon Sheehan Loop - Glenanaar Forest
The Canon Sheehan Loop is a trail race in County Cork held on Sunday 30th August 2026. The main route covers 10.50 km with 265 m of climb. A short course option of 5.00 km is also provided. The route is fully marked and use of GPS devices is permitted.
The event is listed with an event difficulty of 6 with components indicating moderate terrain and typical ascent and distance characteristics. It forms part of the Coillte Summer/Autumn Trail League, Munster.
Entry fees are €7 for seniors and €5 for over 65s and under 18s. Entries close on Saturday 29th August 2026 at 18:00.
Participants must carry mandatory Level B Standard kit: a waterproof jacket, hat or buff, gloves, a whistle, a charged mobile phone with the emergency number stored, and a foil blanket, bivvy bag, or equivalent. Organisers will confirm the final kit to be carried on the day depending on conditions. Runners should have the means to carry the required kit. Failure to carry required items may result in denial of entry or disqualification; random kit checks may be carried out.
