Cahuilla Rez Ultra
Cahuilla Rez Ultra is a multi-distance running event on the Cahuilla Indian Reservation in Anza, California. The event was postponed from October 17, 2026 to November 14, 2026. Registration closes November 7.
Races use a runnable 2-mile loop on double-track dirt road with about 170 feet of elevation gain per loop and approximately 8,500 feet of total gain over the 100-mile distance. The course features subtle rolling hills. Aid is centered at the softball field and includes hot and real food options such as hot dogs, burgers, pizza, spaghetti, quesadillas and other typical aid-station fare. Real bathrooms are available rather than only portable toilets.
Available race options include:
- 100 Miler
- 24 Hour fixed-time
- 12 Hour fixed-time
- 6 Hour fixed-time
- Half Marathon (13 miles)
- Tribal Member 5k
New rules for 2026 state that fixed-time races (6/12/24 hour) produce official results limited to the mileage completed in that race and that runners may not continue past the event time to pursue a different race award. There are no mid-race registration changes after registration closes.
Camping and parking arrangements include tent camping on the softball field, car camping in an adjacent dirt lot, and RV parking limited to 20 spots. Each participant receives a race shirt; finishers receive medals, with top finishers receiving handcrafted awards and 100-mile finishers receiving custom belt buckles.
The event is a fundraiser: funds not used to run the event will go to the Cahuilla Band of Indians Youth and Family Committee. Red Road Racing is a registered 501c3 nonprofit as of 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
