Burrator Noir
The event returns to the Discovery Centre at Burrator Reservoir and comprises a night trail race and a road race around the reservoir perimeter. The programme also includes short children’s races for ages three to under eight and for eight to twelve years; under eights must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

- 2K kids race for eight to twelve years
The 12 mile trail follows forested paths, open moorland, plantation and leats, and uses disused railway lines and rocky, gnarly tracks. The route passes near Nun’s Cross, on toward Princetown, along the old railway by Foggintor Quarry and returns via the trail behind Ingra Tor and through the leatside plantation. The 10k is described as a flat, fast road run around the reservoir perimeter.
Practical details noted by the organiser include required and recommended kit. A head torch is required for all night routes, with spare batteries and a long sleeved top expected for the trail race. Trail competitors are advised to use grippy fell type shoes; road shoes are required for the 10k. Competitors should carry a mobile phone and a collapsible cup or drinking container because cups will not be provided. Dogs are only permitted on the road 10k.
