This trail race event takes place on 10/31/2026 at Pandapas Pond near Blacksburg, Virginia, within the Jefferson National Forest and is part of the RunAbout Sports 2026 Race Series.

All races start and finish at the Pandapas Pond upper parking lot. Courses are primarily single track with limited sections of forest fire road. Runners will encounter climbs, descents, technical terrain, and creek crossings with water less than knee deep. The Poverty Creek Trails Coalition maintains the trails.
Aid stations are provided on the longer courses: the 5K has no aid station, the 7 Mile route has an aid station at 2.5 miles, and the 12 Mile route has aid stations at 2.5, 4.5, 5.8, and 9 miles.
Registration opens September 12 and closes October 18. Fees are listed by distance: 12 Mile $45, 7 Mile $40, 5K $30. Long sleeve participant shirts are guaranteed for registrations on or before October 18; later registrants may select remaining sizes while quantities last.
Packet pickup is scheduled at RunAbout Sports from 4pm to 7pm on 10/30 and there is race day packet pickup at 8:30 AM at the Pandapas Pond upper parking lot.
Awards include overall top three men and women for each distance. Age group awards are given for the 7 Mile and 12 Mile races by the listed age categories; there are no age group awards for the 5K. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
