GPS Big Gunpowder Trail Race
The GPS Big Gunpowder Trail Race takes place on October 18, 2026 at Gunpowder State Park, Belair Road in Kingsville, MD. The event is part of the Baltimore Road Runners Club trail series and is the shortest race in that series.
The course distance is 5.25 Miles. The route includes a steep climb near the start, several downhill sections, single track trail segments, and a fast finish. These features make the course varied in terrain and elevation.
Entry for the race is donation based. There is no registration fee and participants are asked to donate what they feel appropriate at bib pickup. Registration is available on race day only.
Parking for the event is located on the east side of Belair Road. If that lot is full, additional parking is available across Belair Road at the Park and Ride next to the Gunpowder Lodge. Participants are asked not to park in the Gunpowder Lodge lot due to towing.
