GPS Big Gunpowder Trail
The GPS Big Gunpowder Trail is a donation supported trail race held at Gunpowder State Park on October 18, 2026. The course distance is 5.25 Miles, making it the shortest event in the BRRC trail series.
The route begins with a steep climb, includes several downhill sections, and finishes on a faster stretch. Participants will encounter single track trail sections noted for their natural setting. The race offers on site race day registration in addition to online registration when details are provided.
This event is supported solely by participant donations. There is no required registration fee; participants are asked to make a donation at bib pickup according to their preference.
Directions note travel via I‑695 to exit 32B, Belair Road N. The main parking area is on the east side of Belair Road. If that lot is full, additional free parking is available across Belair Road at the Park and Ride next to the Gunpowder Lodge, with a safe walking route through an underpass foot path to the race area. Parking in the Gunpowder Lodge lot is prohibited and vehicles parked there may be towed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
