The courses run on high alpine ridgelines and technical singletrack, crossing exposed summits and remote terrain. The 25 km also follows parts of the "7 Summits" trail with approximately 1000 m ascent and 1400 m descent and holds long sections around 2000 m elevation. The 12 km begins at the base of Red Mountain Resort, climbs to the summit of Red Mountain, and records about 623 m ascent and descent.

Race operations include chip timing with ankle chips, mandatory gear checks, designated aid stations that act as checkpoints, and rules on drop bags, crew access, and cutoffs. Mandatory gear for 50 km and 25 km includes a lightweight jacket and an emergency blanket, minimum 1.5 L hydration and 400 calories of food; 12 km requires at least 1 L hydration and 200 calories. The kids race is about 1 km, not timed, typically sees children aged 5 to 10, and charges a $5 entry with proceeds going to the Canadian Mental Health Association via Georgia’s Wish.

The event uses cup-free aid stations, composting and recycling practices, and requests runners follow the published waivers and safety requirements. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
