Broken Goat is a mountain trail race event above Rossland, British Columbia, held on July 17, 2027. Distances offered are listed below.

The 50 km is a point-to-point traverse on the "7 Summits" high alpine trail and visits several peaks including Old Glory at 2376 m. Ascent is 2492 m and descent is 2906 m. The 25 km follows the 7 Summits trail and Unnecessary Ridge and includes Mount Plewman with an average elevation near 2000 m. Ascent is 1000 m and descent is 1400 m. The 12 km climbs from Red Mountain Resort to the Red Mountain summit with ascent and descent of 623 m.
Runners must carry mandatory gear. 50 km and 25 km racers must start with a jacket and an emergency blanket plus minimum hydration of 1.5 litres and at least 400 calories of food. 12 km racers must carry at least 1 litre and 200 calories. Random gear checks occur at the start and on course. The event is cup free; runners must bring their own cup or flask for aid stations.
Chip timing is provided and ankle timing chips must be worn and returned after finishing. Crew and pacers are restricted to aid station areas only. The kids race is about 1 km, untimed, typically for ages five to ten, and has a $5 entry with proceeds to Georgia's Wish via the Canadian Mental Health Association.
