Rock to Pier Run (Memorial)
The Rock to Pier Run takes place in Morro Bay, California on July 17, 2027, with activities focused near Morro Rock and the end of Coleman Drive. The event includes multiple race options held along the shoreline between Morro Rock and the Cayucos Pier.
Distances offered:
- 6.2 miles 10K run along the shoreline.
- 6 miles virtual Rock to Pier option; complete between July 1 and July 31 and submit time.
- 13.1 miles half marathon out-and-back course via Cayucos Pier and Cloisters Park.
The virtual option allows participants to choose their location, for example a neighborhood, a park, or a treadmill, and submit their time. Course features note that this is a beach run and participants should expect wet shoes. Water and aid stations are available throughout the course. Bus transportation is provided from Cayucos Pier back to Morro Rock for Rock to Pier participants. Parking is limited in Cayucos; more parking is available at Morro Rock.
Pre-packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, July 16 at the Morro Bay Community Center. Post-race breakfast and awards are held at Morro Rock. Limited shirt sizes are available. Dogs are not permitted on the course because of Snowy Plover nesting season. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
