About the race
The Brabantse Ultra Trail (BUT100) is a trail running event organised by Trail Events with start and finish at a basecamp in Leende, Noord Brabant. The routes run through the Groote Heide area between Eindhoven, Valkenswaard, Achel (Belgium), Soerendonk, Leende and Heeze, featuring singletracks and varied natural terrain.
Distances available:
- 50 km north or south loop
- 75 km
- 100 km two loop route
The 100 km consists of two separate loops with a return to basecamp between loops; 100 km participants have access to a drop bag when they return. The 75 km route includes about 25 km of the first loop before returning to basecamp and then completing the full second loop; 75 km participants have access to a drop bag after those 25 km. Elevation values are published per route.
Practical details provided to participants include a full GPX of the route, a tracker on event day for live tracking, and an email with additional information and the GPX file sent on the Thursday before the event. Finishers of the ultras receive a UTMB Index. Aid stations do not provide cups so participants must carry a race cup or flask.
There is a mandatory gear list that must be carried during the ultra, including a charged mobile phone, a race vest with at least one litre of fluids, first aid kit, warming blanket, rain jacket, navigation and sufficient food, and the clearly visible start number. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
