Bound for the Hounds 6 Hour Ultra
Bound for the Hounds 6 Hour Ultra takes place on November 14, 2026, at Finger Lakes Community College in Canandaigua, NY. The event is a timed six-hour run on a roughly 2 mile loop on the FLCC lower trails.
The loop surface is mainly grassy mowed trails (about 70 percent), with sections of dirt trail (about 20 percent) and gravel (about 10 percent). There is very little elevation and a couple of small sections with exposed roots; the course may be adjusted to avoid those sections. The route is suitable for road shoes or mild trail shoes.
A fully stocked aid station is available with gatorade, soda, water, coffee, warm broth and rice, sweet and salty snacks, and pickles. A raffle table will offer several prizes, with proceeds benefiting Gordy and Friends; raffle payments may be accepted in cash or via Venmo.
The event is held to raise funds to support the free to all dog park in Shortsville, NY. Well behaved canine companions are welcome if kept on a short leash; the race director and FLCC reserve the right to ask a dog and its human to leave the event if any issues arise.
