Bohemian Alps Endurance Runs
The Bohemian Alps Endurance Runs take place in Brainard, Nebraska, with the start and finish lines located at 213 Madison Street in the downtown area. This event marks the 43rd year of the competition, which utilizes a variety of surfaces including gravel roads, dirt roads, bike trails, and off-road cross-country sections.
Participants can choose from three distinct distances:
- Half Marathon: A hilly loop featuring gravel, dirt, a bike trail, and a cross-country course.
- 4 Mile Run: A scenic route on hilly gravel and dirt roads with one mile of pavement.
- Kids Mile: A one-mile course entirely on paved surfaces.
The half marathon course includes water stops positioned every three to four miles. All registered participants receive a t-shirt, and those who complete their respective distances are awarded medals or ribbons. After the events, a post-race barbeque is provided for entrants, and shower facilities are available on-site. Registration is available in advance or on the day of the event.
