Bloomfield Backyard Ultra
The Bloomfield Backyard Ultra is a last person standing endurance race held on November 28, 2026, in Bloomfield, Kentucky. Runners repeatedly complete a fixed loop that starts and finishes at Bloomfield Memorial Park (168 Fairfield Hill Rd) and continues through the Bloomfield community.
Each loop, called a yard, is 4.167 miles and must be completed within one hour. Any remaining time after completing the loop may be used for rest, refueling, or equipment changes before the next loop begins. There is no predetermined finish distance; the event continues until only one runner remains who can complete the loop within the allotted hour.
The route is primarily paved and runs through the heart of town. The course is not closed to vehicle traffic, so runners should expect normal traffic and must follow traffic laws and remain alert at intersections and road crossings. Organizers note that small route modifications may be made before the event for safety or logistical reasons, and such changes will be communicated to participants.
