Bloom Alumni Cross Country Meet

The Bloom Alumni Cross Country Meet takes place on August 15 2026 in Chicago Heights at 1333 Edgewood Ave. The event uses the old two mile cross country course at Wilson Woods with the meeting point at Old Bloom.

Runners start in decade-based head start waves, beginning with the earliest graduating classes and proceeding to more recent classes. Chip timing will record individual times, but scoring is based on finishing place regardless of start wave.

Teams are organized by decade: classes 1950-1980 are combined, 1981-1990, 1991-2000, 2001-2010, 2011-2020, 2021-2026, and a current team. A complete team score requires five finishers.

Registration opens June 3 2026 and closes August 15 2026; there is no registration fee. There is no longer parking off Route 30; available parking is at the High School or the Small Fry baseball field. Bloom and Bloom Trail alumni and Friends of Bloom are welcome, and all sports programs now compete under a single umbrella. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
