Spring Fling Race Series - Waco
The Spring Fling Race Series takes place at Lady Bird Johnson Trail Park in Waco, Texas. The event offers in-person running events and a virtual option, with on-course aid stations, finisher medals, and event shirts. Chip timing is used for the 5K and the Volunteer then Run 5K; other shorter distances are not chip timed. The course uses mixed surfaces including pavement, crushed granite, and dirt paths. Races proceed in all weather conditions.
Distance options include:
- Kids Dash (50 m) for ages 10 and under
- 1 Mile run
- 5K run (3.11 miles)
- 10K run (6.55 miles)
- Volunteer then Run 5K (3.11 miles)
- Virtual 13.1 mile option
Awards are given for top overall finishers and age groups in the 5K and 10K, with separate recognition for masters (40+). Youth pricing is available for participants 12 and under for the 5K and 10K. Volunteer roles are available with different responsibilities such as water stations, course monitors, finish line helpers, packet pickup, and a lead bike role. Non-running volunteers receive a race shirt, VIP access, and a choice between a future race entry or a $20 digital gift card. Some volunteer options have limited availability.
