Big Dog's Backyard Ultra - October 17, 2026
Big Dog's Backyard Ultra in Bell Buckle, TN is scheduled as a Last Man Standing race on October 17, 2026 at the Big Farm-Short Creek site. The event will serve as one of the sites for the World Backyard Ultra Team Championships held on the third Saturday in October 2026.
All participants will have qualified by either winning silver ticket events or by placing among the top At-Large performers in their nation over the prior two years. The United States team will include the top 15 qualified American athletes who are citizens or permanent residents. Silver ticket winners are being accepted at this time.
The qualifying period ends on August 15, 2026. Results are to be submitted and entered within a week after that date, at which point the At-Large list will be final and qualified athletes will be accepted. Organizers will confirm the intentions of any qualified athletes who do not apply so that places can be offered to alternates. As the qualifying window narrows, additional At-Large places may be offered to athletes with a sufficiently large number of yards; at this time applications from athletes who have equaled or exceeded 100 hours will be considered.
