Big Dog's Backyard Ultra
Big Dog's Backyard Ultra is scheduled for October 17, 2026 in Bell Buckle, Tennessee, at the Big Farm - Short Creek. The event is a Last Man Standing race held as part of the World Backyard Ultra Team Championships.
Entry to the championships is limited to athletes who have qualified by winning silver ticket events or by placing among the top At Large performers in their nation over the previous two years. The United States team will be composed of the top 15 qualified American athletes who are citizens or permanent residents. All silver ticket winners will be accepted when they apply.
The qualifying period ends on August 15, 2026, and results are to be submitted within a week after that date. Organizers will confirm intentions of qualified athletes who do not apply so that places can be offered to alternates. As the qualifying window closes, additional places may be offered to At Large athletes who have accumulated enough yards; at that time applications from athletes who have equaled or exceeded 100 hours will be considered.
