The event uses a trail course through Heeman's grounds. Walking the course is allowed. Strollers are not permitted on the course because sections are offroad or on trail. Pets are not allowed on the course, though they are welcome at Heeman's property.
The event supports the Shine Foundation. One hundred percent of event profits are directed to helping young people with severe physical disabilities across Canada. At the time of listing, CA$356.97 has been raised toward a CA$6,000.00 goal.
Post-run activities include local food trucks, Heeman's cider, Anderson Craft Ales beer, music, and a social finish-area atmosphere.
