The event program includes separate youth and parent-child runs, a Little Bear Run walking route, a half marathon and a full marathon. Distinct age rules and prize formats apply to the youth events.

- 42.2 km for the full marathon
Youth Run and Parent-Child Run: the Youth Run is for children aged 6 to 12, with separate distances for ages 6 to 8 and 9 to 12. There is no timekeeping for these youth races; prizes are given for first, second and third place, and all participants receive a medal. The Parent-Child Run is for children aged 3 to 6 running together with a parent; this race has no prizes.
Little Bear Run: a morning walking route of 5 or 10 kilometres along sometimes undulating cycle paths through the forests and dunes near West.
Half marathon route: starts in West, passes the marina and the Hoofdweg to Midsland and Formerum, then through forest, dunes and along the beach back to West, with live music and roadside cheering.
Full marathon route: covers the whole island from West to the Boschplaat and back, crossing dunes, forest and beach, and finishes in West beneath the Brandaris.
The organizer notes that changes after 9 September are still possible at the race secretariat on site, and that switching between the Kleintje Berenloop and the Berenloop on different days is not permitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
