The TFG Beer & Pudding Races

The event takes place in Bakewell in the Peak District on 21 March 2027 and is based at the Thornbridge Brewery Tap Room. It offers three waymarked trail routes of differing lengths that use local trails and estate land, including the Monsal Trail, Chatsworth Estate and the River Wye.

Distances

  • 7 km / 100 m ascent
  • 13.5 km / 325 m ascent
  • 21 km / 400 m ascent

Entries are open online and close on 19 March 2027. Entrants must be aged 18 or over on the event date. Race HQ provides early access to the Tap Room, secure bag-drop and at least one race photo. The event includes professional timing with full results, downloadable GPX route files, regular marshal points and Outdoor First Aid qualified marshals.

A mandatory kit check is performed at registration and runners must bring the required kit for their chosen distance; failure to present the kit may cancel the entry without refund. The 13.5 km and 21 km courses list a detailed required kit including waterproof jacket and trousers, off-road shoes, hat and gloves, spare layer, emergency food, foil blanket, charged phone, minimum 500 ml water, whistle and a GPS device or map and compass. The 7 km course has a reduced mandatory kit list.

A portion of entry fees supports trail repair and nature recovery projects in Derbyshire and the Peak District National Park. The race is TRA licensed and run under UK Athletics rules. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
